On February 10th and 11th, we hosted our first tournament of the season! Both of our teams went undefeated and we are so proud of how well everyone played. We want to send a big thank you to the men’s team for their support and assistance with tabling and setup for the tournament. And thank you to all who attended the tournament. Your support keeps our team thriving!
We also recently had a successful fundraiser at Opus Coffee. Thank you to all who made it out to support the team!
Some members of our women’s and men’s teams also went to New Orleans for Tulane’s Mardi Gras co-ed master’s tournament. We secured 2nd place and had a great time!

PLAYER SPOTLIGHT
Rachel Obora is a 2nd year Biochemistry Major from Jacksonville, Florida. She is currently our fundraising chair and designated BeReal photographer. Outside of water polo she enjoys hammocking in the plaza and hanging out with friends. One fun fact about her is that she started playing water polo in Virginia and has since then traveled all around the country to play for different teams!
FUNDRAISER PROGRESS
We would like to send an enormous thank you to all who sent their donations to the letter drive fundraiser this year. Your generosity allowed us to surpass our goal of $3000! We have been able to use the funding to pay for our tournament fees, travel expenses, and new equipment. We appreciate every single way that the UF Women’s Water Polo community has supported us each year, and look forward to using it to achieve our goals as a successful team!
